Design
We carry out the design of structural elements to the relevant British and European Codes. This includes the design of steelwork, concrete, masonry, and timber elements used within buildings. We work closely with Architects and Builders to ensure that the client’s brief is met in an economic, safe, and fast way. Our design report can readily be submitted to Building Control as part of their approval process.
Drawing
We provide detailed engineering drawings to enable construction and submission for building regulations. From alterations and conversions to new builds, we pride ourselves on the level of detail in our drawings. Our drawings form part of our design report which also includes a calculation pack.
Structural Inspection
Buildings like humans sometimes have health issues. All structural issues have unique signs which can be exhibited on the surface of the building. We carry out investigations to identify these signs and use scientific knowledge to interpret the data and confirm the structural issue. Our inspections are accompanied by a report which highlights our findings, conclusions, and recommendations. We are accredited with the Institution of Structural Engineers as Chartered Structural Engineers.
Site Inspection
Some projects require regular inspections by the engineer to ensure the information on the drawing is fully translated by the contractor. Sometimes site attendance is needed to provide structural solutions to unforeseen issues that develop during construction. We work closely with contractors to ensure that any scheduled or required inspections are undertaken on time.
